CYS-CYSAB coordinates the participation of Cyprus in the EuroMediteranean Cooperation with regard to a specific program relating to quality (Euromed Quality Programme). This program is focused on the following matters:
- Standardization
- Inspection of Laboratories
- Certification
- Inspection
- Accreditation
- Metrology
After its accession to the European Union, Cyprus participates within both its capacities, (European and Mediterranean county) thus having the benefits of the programme and also as a donor of training services. This feature is of multiple significance. It should be noted that all other participant countries (Egypt, Algeria, Jordan, Israel, Lebanon, Morocco, Malta, Palestine, Syria, Turkey, Tunisia) have already some experience in accreditation matters. |  |
